This shampoo 'grew back' Sharon Stone's hair after a stroke — and it's available on Amazon

Finding a few more strands in the brush? Dealing with clogged drains? Missing your once-lustrous locks? Hair loss affects millions, and it’s actually pretty reassuring that this sign of aging is something most of us share, no matter how glamorous our lives may seem. Take Sharon Stone, for instance, the fabulous Oscar-nominated and Emmy-winning Hollywood icon. The 67-year-old knows too well what it's like to need more than a little fluffing to give her locks some bounce. For that, she turns to The Shampoo from Augustinus Bader. The best part? No upscale salon trip necessary — you can score a bottle on Amazon.

Lightweight and foamy, this shampoo hydrates your hair while moisturizing your scalp.

For Stone, the benefits of this shampoo transcend aesthetics. In 2001, when she was 43, she suffered a stroke and brain hemorrhage that ultimately took seven years to recover from, she said at a 2023 gala hosted by The Hollywood Reporter. While healing, she noticed she'd lost some hair.

"I started using this Augustinus Bader shampoo and conditioner and after-shampoo leave-in conditioner," she said in an interview with Byrdie. "All the hair I had lost under here, on the sides from the stroke, grew back. And I have hair!"

While there are many products to combat hair loss, this one stands out due to the brand's patented TFC8 formula, a blend of amino acids, high-grade vitamins and peptides that the company says is "backed by over 30 years of research." It targets follicle cells that aid in repair and regrowth while supporting keratin production and locking in moisture for the hair and scalp. It's also vegan and sulfate-free.

Amazon shoppers are fans of The Shampoo too.

"This has given my very fine hair amazing texture. I have the shampoo and conditioner. Yes, these products are pricey, but I will not hesitate to purchase both again. I’m very impressed," wrote a happy and well-coiffed user.

Another raved, "This product has changed the texture of my fine hair. It has helped to build structure to [my] strands. Well worth the price. Love The Conditioner too!" And the product doesn't just change hair texture — it helps with hair loss too. "My hair is growing where I was losing hair!" noted a final customer.

As much as users love how well the shampoo works, some said they wished it were cheaper. "Love the shampoo. Smells nice and lathers well. It leaves your hair feeling fresh and clean. The only problem is that it is so expensive," wrote one.

Pair The Shampoo with Augustinus Bader's The Conditioner for even better results.
