Israel has denied a Hamas report on Sunday that 30 people were killed in Israeli military attacks at humanitarian distribution centres in Gaza run by the Israeli-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF).

"In recent hours, false reports have been spread, including serious allegations against the IDF [Israel Defense Forces] regarding fire toward Gazan residents in the area of the humanitarian aid distribution site in the Gaza Strip," the Israeli military said in a statement.

Palestinian extremist group Hamas said 30 people were killed while looking to pick up aid, while 119 more were injured. The GHF swiftly denied the allegations.

According to the Hamas media office, Israeli troops fired shots during Sunday's relief operation organized by the newly established GHF at a distribution centre in Rafah, southern Gaza. The information cannot be independently verified.
