Amid the Indiana Fever's highly anticipated showdown with the Chicago Sky on Saturday, Lexie Hull achieved a career milestone.
Caitlin Clark's absence due to injury diminished the luster of the rivalry game between the Fever and the Sky; however, it was still a thrilling one, especially for an Indiana team that got off to a hot start in the contest.
The Fever dominated the first half and took a 41-28 lead at halftime, thanks to a balanced scoring effort led by Kelsey Mitchell, Natasha Howard, Aliyah Boston and Hull.
Hull, in particular, had six points at the half, along with four rebounds, two assists and one steal.
The fourth-year guard, who was drafted sixth overall by Indiana in 2022, entered the game with a total of 499 points in her career so far. So, with her first-half scoring, she surpassed the 500-point mark.
To celebrate the moment, the Fever sent a message to congratulate Hull, along with a graphic commemorating her milestone.
"500," the Fever wrote, along with a collision symbol emoji. "Congrats to Lexie Hull on surpassing 500 career points."
Fever fans also joined in on congratulating Lexie Hull, taking to the comments section to react to her accomplishment.
"Congratulations Lexi," a commenter wrote. Another one said, "Super inspiring."
"LETSSSS GOOOOOOO HULLLLLL," a hyped supporter added.
A fan shared, "Great job Lex! Love watching you."
"QUEEN LEXIEEE," a follower remarked.
A sixth social media user shared, "Congratulations, @lexiehulll .. you will always be my supernova from Stanford!"
While it took time for Hull to reach 500 points with the Fever, the next milestone mark of 1,000 points should come sooner. The 25-year-old is averaging double digits in scoring for the first time in her pro career, and she has been more efficient offensively as one of the best 3-point shooters in the WNBA.
