NEW DELHI: Barely days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi exhorted ministers and top bureaucrats to move to new allocated office spaces for expediting the construction of new buildings along Kartavya Path, housing and urban affairs ministry (MoHUA) will be the first to shift from Nirman Bhawan to a new office complex on KG Marg by next month.MoHUA is spearheading the Central Vista redevelopment project, which includes Parliament, North and South Blocks, office buildings and Kartavya Path. This is also being seen as a signal for other ministries to temporarily move out of the current buildings to pave way for redevelopment of Nirman Bhawan and Shastri Bhawan in the next few months.Officials said that three new office buildings (CCS) along Kartavya Path will be operational soon and home ministry offices will shift to one of these starting next month. Subsequently, finance ministry offices will also be shifted from North Block to another building. “Since these three buildings will have space to accommodate more offices, a call will be taken soon to allocate space to other ministries like officials of the ministry of health,” said a source.
