Dollar Hits a Fresh Low

The dollar had a bad day yesterday. Today looks to be even worse.

The WSJ Dollar Index fell to 95.08 on Thursday morning. If it keeps pace, it will mark a new one-year low. The index measures the value of the dollar against a basket of 16 currencies.

The more widely cited U.S. Dollar Index was also lower, currently trading at 98.65. It’s on pace for its lowest close since April 21. The decline comes after initial jobless claims came in higher than expected.
