Caitlin Clark Makes Public Appearance After Indiana Fever’s Third Straight Loss

The Indiana Fever are going to have to figure out how to win games without Caitlin Clark for a while.

She has been out of action with a strained quad for their last two games, both of which they lost. They also lost guards Sophie Cunningham and Sydney Colson in Friday's defeat at the hands of the Connecticut Sun, which has left them thin in the backcourt.

But Clark is still present despite her injury, and she was seen at Gainbridge Fieldhouse for the Game 6 of the NBA's Eastern Conference finals between the Indiana Pacers and New York Knicks, along with Fever teammates Aliyah Boston and Lexie Hull.

The Pacers have the opportunity to punch their ticket to the NBA Finals with a victory in this game. However, if they lose, the series returns to Madison Square Garden, and all signs would favor the Knicks taking Game 7 at that point.

Overall, the Fever have lost three games in a row and hold a disappointing 2-4 record. Their slide began with a 90-88 loss to the defending WNBA champion New York Liberty a week ago. In that game, they blew a sizable second-half lead, and Clark failed to shoot the potential game-winning 3-pointer.

Friday's loss against the Connecticut Sun was also frustrating for Indiana. They trailed throughout the second half and made a rally in the closing minutes, but they couldn't finish the job and fell by two points.

Boston, a two-time All-Star forward, is one woman who needs to step up in Clark's absence. Versus Connecticut, she shot 8-of-10 from the field and scored 17 points, to go along with eight assists.
